Moving
In general, you can move if you have lived in your room for at least 6 months. Within a floor you can move only if you have not moved within the floor for at least one year.
For this purpose, it is necessary to submit a moving request with a signature list of the target floor to the BA no later than the 15th a month and a half before the desired moving date. At the discretion of the responsible person, later applications may also be considered, provided that no Belegungswunsch (occupancy request) has yet been received for the room and the room distribution has not yet taken place. This happens usually during the second week of the month prior. It is always advisable to write a mail to the BA if you plan to hand in your moving request later than the beforementioned deadline.
At least 50% of the regular floor residents must agree to the move. A move within your own floor is requested in the same way as a HaDiKo-wide move and therefore also requires 50% of the signatures of all regular floor residents.
Before you move, you should check if your move would violate any quotas on the new hallway (see occupancy regulations §4) and if you have to apply for that. You can ask the BA about the current quotas on the target floor (it is best to come to the office hours in good time beforehand).
A move is only possible at the beginning of each month, just like a move-in. Furthermore, the person moving must ensure that his or her old room is handed over to the janitor on time on the last day of the month or on a date agreed upon with the janitor.
For the work of the janitor a small moving fee of 15€ is due, this will be collected with the rent.
You should inform HaDiKo about your internal move to the following places:
- If possible, notify HaDiNet in advance by sending an email to support@hadiko.de with the date of the move and the new room number (see also HaDiNet/FAQ#I am moving and would like to have internet in my new room. What do I have to do?)
- the Residents' Registration Office (Einwohnermeldeamt), as your registration/mailing address is accurate for your room, and anyone else you would inform of a change of address.
- in the case of a change of floor: the "GEZ", as the floor counts as a flat for the purposes of broadcasting fees.
You do not have to inform the following authorities about your move, as the change will take place automatically:
- keys@hadiko.de, you will automatically receive a new key when you move, floor and room will be updated, the other access authorisations will be transferred unchanged.
