==Floor Fund== | |||
Current floor fund manager: Max
=== Purpose === | |||
The purpose of the floor fund is to cover expenses that benefit everyone on the floor. Every inhabitant of i6 pays 7 EUR per month into the floor fund.
==== Regular expenses ====
This includes onions, garlic, potatoes, spices, cleaning equipment, [[I6#Public Broadcast Contribution|Public Broadcast Contribution]], moving-in dinners and more.
==== Large, unexpected expenses ====
This includes washing machine, dishwasher. The goal is to always have at least 500 EUR on the balance to be able to pay large, unexpected expenses from savings. Therefore large expenses are distributed over years of savings and the burden on the inhabitants at the time of need is reduced.
==== Large, planed expenses for the benefit of everyone ====
This includes new grill, new couch, bulk spice orders, new kitchen equipment.
=== Balance === | |||
The monthly contribution from every inhabitant as well as all expenses are recorded using Splitwise. When a floormate owes more then the threshold of 50 EUR to the fund, the fund manager sends a notification. This way most floormates only have to make a transaction every few months. This threshold is important to reduce the risk that a person is not able or willing to pay the floor contribution.
The payments from and to the floor fund are recorded in a spreadsheet by the fund manager. This [https://github.com/HaDiKo-Flur-i6/flurkasse/blob/main/Flurkasse.xlsx spreadsheet] is available on GitHub. It provides a log of the transactions and the current balance.
